Galaxy Forum Hainan 2020: China

ILOA Galaxy Forum Hainan 2020 confirms its postponement due to the coronavirus outbreak in China. It is with great concern and respect, regret and responsibility, that such action is necessary given this grave challenge to individual and global health and well-being.

Our ILOA sincerely apologizes for the major inconvenience, disappointment and cost of such postponement, and will look and plan ahead to a new tentative date of 12-15 January 2021 TBC for this major Galaxy Forum Hainan global / Interglobal event, with main theme “International Human Moon Landings” and “Astronomy from the Moon”. It is also possible that a smaller, more local, 1-day Galaxy Forum precursor may be held in the Hainan / Wenchang area sometime between May and November 2020.

Goals of the Meeting:

  • To help realize Humans on the Moon as soon as reasonably possible
  • Advance the New Frontier of Astronomy from the Moon
  • Identify and support missions, enterprises, individuals and resources most needed
  • Network and synergize all of the aforementioned into an effective and successful way forward
  • Enable Solar System Expansion through development of 21st Century technologies, human-rated planetary landers and lunar settlement
